Hi,
Looking for some advice. Looking to build some raised garden beds, rendered and painted white.
The walls have to withstand frost and the children randomly jumping on the wall when my back is turned.

I have summary the following actions.

1.Already dug a 300mm foundation in preperation for a patio.
2.Dig a trench of 150mm and line with concrete as a good foundation.
3.Brick laid normally for straights - on edge for curves.
4.Use pond liner inside the bed to keep moisture away from the brick.
5.Lay a top thin layer of bricks to sink in the pond liner.
6.Hire a plaster to render smooth the outer bricks
7.Paint white with masonry paint.

Is that about right, i dont want the walls falling down in 2 years or render been blown from a bad winter.

:(

It is never adviseable to render free-standing or earth retaining walls. The render traps ground moisture within the bricks and will cause damage by frost- or sulphate attack.
