Hi All,

We're building an extension on our property with bi-fold doors, and so we want a raised patio at the same level as the internal finished floor level.

I can't, however, work out how I'd build a raised patio without bridging my DPC! All of the guides I've looked at surrounding raised patios don't seem to give any consideration to this at all.

Does anyone know how I can do this, or should we just go with decking?

it is possible but involves a lot of work with interceptor drains etc. Your first port of call is local building control to find out what they will accept.

There's no point coming up with a finished idea but then building control won't pass it so get a few ideas and then approach them.
