Rand() function in Excel

can anyone tell me if there's a way to generate random numbers BUT keep them? every time a enter values in other cells they keep getting re-generated

Assuming you don't want to generate a different number every time (which it seems like you don't) once you've generated them, copy them, and then paste values. See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/excel-help/copy-cell-values-not-formulas-HA010244903.aspx

I'd agree, copy them out of the cells and then use paste special to copy them into another range of cells but without the formula.
