Hi,
I have a radiator which is gurgling now and then - nothing serious just annoying. Given its summer the heating hasnt\isnt on but I guess due to pressure changes and movement obviously the water still circulates and air can become trapped.

Im yet to bleed it as a first but another thought was if I close off this rad both sides would this force any air to travel to the top or is it a wasted effort and I should just bleed it first and if nothing then investigate further (or just leave it :D)
Thanks!

Could be air settling out but unless there is a leak then that should stop after a short time. Another area could be noisy valves but that would only be obvious if you’re running the system. Do you have a hot water cylinder.

No haven't got a cylinder. If air was getting in wouldn't you expect it to be different rads not just the same one? Will bleed it and see what she does

Not normally, air in a system tends to head to one rad, usually the highest one on the system. Hence why it’s usually the upstairs towel rad that catches it all.
