Hi,
We have a Rangemaster Professional+ 90 Ceramic hob, which after years of problem-free service seems to have developed a problem.
One of the hotplate / ring neon indicators (lights up when a hotplate is switched on & remains lit until it's off & cool) is remaining on continuously regardless of whether or not the hob is in use.
We replaced the hotplate element as a starting point, making a sweeping assumption that this was faulty & responsible for the indicator neon.. doesn't seem to have made any difference however so am looking for a suggestion as to what to try replacing next.
The hotplate itself works absolutely fine!
As far as I can tell there are only two other components involved - the neon indicator assembly, and the simmerstat / "energy controller" responsible for the hotplate. Short of flipping a coin, could anyone suggest where the problem's likely to lie?
Thanks,
Tim
