I have one of these boilers which I installed in 1995 and to be fair for a 16 yr old combi its done very well indeed. I am trying to prelong its death so any help would be appreciated. Its developed a hot water fault whereas when you open a hot tap or the shower it fires up find and the water gets hot but shortly after the burner shuts down maybe for a min or two. Then it fires up again and normally works fine after that. A bit of a problem when soaped up in the shower as you can guess!! Everything seams to be operating ok. D valve ok, micro switch coming in and out when DHW tap opens, Stat working;high-low rate. The boiler started Kettling last year so I flushed a noise reducer which worked and its very quiet again now. Theres a high limit stat which may be connected to this problem but would of thought this would either work or not. Can anyone possibly help??
