Hi there, this is my first post so be gentle.

I recently had a minor leak at the bottom and top of the 3 way valve. This appeared to be from worn o rings. This was fixed and the leak has stopped. I re-pressurized the boiler to 1 bar as per the instructions. However, i came home the other day, switched on the boiler and was greeted by a banging noise followed by water coming from the top of the boiler. I switched off the boiler and had a look at the top. There is what i assume is a bleed nipple for air trapped in the boiler. However, water is continuing to come out of the bleed nipple when the heating is on (this also when the hot water is running).

Any help on stopping this or just explaining would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi what is leaking is the auto air vent and it needs removing and either stripping down and cleaning out or just replace it the cap on the top has to be left loose or any air that gets trapped in the top of the boiler cannot get out
The problem is it is not a job that you can do yourself because it means undoing the combustion chamber cover and thats illegal for a diy because its to do with the seal etc so it looks like you will need an R G I to get it done
