Hi,
Our ravenheat combi boiler was working well, coming on twice a day until we went away for 5 days. We set the external thermostat to make the boiler come on if temperature dropped below 5 degrees while we were away.

When we came home the heating wouldn't come on through using the thermostat in the hall. The light on the boiler says it's on, but neither the heating nor the hot water come on. The boiler starts up every time when you reset it on the combi panel, but in the morning the central heating doesn't come on and there's no hot water. Same when we come home from work.

Once the boiler is on it responds to changes in demand made through the thermostat in the hall.

Any suggestions?

Addition: the person who fitted the boiler put the red sticker on the pressure guage at 0.9 bar. The boiler reaches this after half an hour and doesn't seem to drop/go up whilst running.

Thanks for any advice!

Starter for 10..... top up the pressure of the system using the Filling loop to 1 - 1.5 bar on this gauge when all is cool and switched off.

There is info on this in the FAQ section.

then see how it goes!
