Hi, Have the above, and recently it started tripping, that required the reset switch to be presses to restart it, but since has started not producing hot water or lukewarm radiators...and the pressure reading on the boiler itself fluctuates..I understand that thermistors have been mentioned? as a possible cause to this fault, it's just out of warranty. Can anyone clarify that this might be the cause, or an alternative, as simply don't have the cash atm. Have contacted the manuafacturer, who didn't want to know obviously..Have contacted local experts, that failed to repair my last boiler, and the thermistors were mentioned. What are they where are they, how to change them? Very cold and frustrated. Any help regarding this matter appreciated.

I expect that you have two or more faults!

You are making it worse for yourself by not getting each fault fixed as they individually occur.

Now you may come up against a skills famine as two faults are four times more difficult to identify than one.

actually i believe ravenheat boilers are the worst around, manufacturer didn't want to know ideal would be crucified on this forum for this,as for the problem with the boiler itself, warmsure have loads of diagnostic engineers in the manchester region who will be able to fix this fault for you, just ask them when you see their van, make sure it's a big van and not a vauxhall combi

Thanks, but no closer to a solution, I failed to mention that the boiler also makes a grinding/vibrating noise when fired up, seems to be caused by bad fitment of the case, as a tap on the case cures it. This vibration goes when the boiler gets fully going. Agile - the tripping, then the subsequent low output happened within days, so maybe the two are related? Idealnumber - I don't understand the comment? Somebody would be crucified? I thought Ravenheats response to myself was rather curt and unjust, and they didn't even reply to a follow up email. I also don't understand the comment flag a van down in the street? Who do you refer to? Sorry lost me..

Further research reveals that a service kit is available, and after fuses, thermistors are at the top of the list. Can anybody tell me if these might be at fault, what their specification is, how to change them etc? Thanks.

sorry if confused you,the lads in manchester are decent and will fix your boiler for a fee, without being overcharged
