Only thinking about this but please can someone tell me if the hot-water cylinder for a Rayburn needs to be vented or unvented?
I was under the impression that the excess pressure vent was in the pipework but been told it must be on the tank, is this correct?
Thanks

An unvented cylinder or heating system isn't suitable for an uncontrolled
solid fuel system.

As long as you fit the supplied motorized valve with spring shut off then its controlled and suitable for solid fuel.

It's hardly gonna explode. You have temperature and pressure release valves after that.

H2 heating innovations have a diagram on their website on how its done.
