Hi All,
I've just cleared out all my summer pots and now have a large pile of used compost.
What to do with it?
Would it be ok to spread it about my borders once I've sived out all the old rootings?
Cheers

is it a peat or fibre compost?

it will have lost all its nutrition but may slightly improve soil texture. You can scatter it, mulch with it or add it to your compost heap.

I chuck the decent looking ones without too much root onto the flower beds. It's great for soil texture as JohnD says, esp as I am in a clay area.
