Re hole in breather membrane

Hi All,
This might be a stupid question but can I repair a hole in breather membrane? I was fitting it today and pit a hammer through a 6mlong piece in wind. I've already put a the batons on and was finalising the batons when I did it.
I'm totally new to this so apols if it's dumb

Ideally http://www.insulationexpress.co.uk/Accessories/Du-Pont-Tyvek-Tape.htm bit of duck tape or similar would probably be ok though.

I noticed on the link that it says do the laps, do I need to sticky tape the laps down that dont go directly underneath batons?

No you dont need to tape overlap
