I've just about finished tiling my bathroom in filled and honed travertine.

Unfortunately i've scratched one of the tiles screwing in the spout on the bath taps. I've experimented on polishing out the scratch on a spare tile with 400 and then 600 grit wet and dry which takes out the scratch but leaves a dull patch compared to the rest of the tile which is quite visible when the light reflects off the tile.

Can anyone suggest what i can use to bring back the honed finish?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

Looks ideal, except i've only the one scratch and i'd need a polishing machine to use that compound.

Any suggestions for something i can do by hand?

What about a rock polishing cloth? Not sure where you can get one though,or some mildly abrasive paste, bicarbonate of soda, tooth polish or something like that??
