I have a pine door which needs repainting. It has been glossed a couple of times previously, but when it was first done it appears that the knots in the pine were not sealed and have started to bleed through. I don't really want to have to strip the whole door back to seal the knots, so is there any treatment that I can I can apply that will stop the knots bleeding through another coat of gloss?

Sand down and dust off the door, spot prime the knots with Zinnsser B.I.N., then apply undercoat and gloss.

Sand down affected areas then treat, but remember you will probably have to repaint the whole door anyway because of the older gloss will be yellower
