Hi,

Just moved into my new house (1930's Ex-council). Has a history of a bit of damp and I will be injecting a DPC this week.

When it eventually dries out and rendered I wanted to install a real wood floor. Under the carpet which is still down are Marley tiles. According to the surveyor he thinks it will be just rubble under the tiles?

Whats the best (easiest) way of getting the wood floor down without the risk of it warping or trapping in moisture?

Dont fancy digging it all out. Was thinking of a membrane and self leveller over the marleys? Or would it not provide enough?

Cheers,
Gareth
