Really simple question....

.... I need to take a couple of rads off for the plasterer to skim the walls and to paint behind them...

The combi boiler is turned off, am I right that I just need to bleed to air out of the rads by opening those valves at the top (technical name) and then turn the nobs at the bottom to zero......

Then I can just take the rads off, catching any water that still in them?

I would turn rad valves off first otherwise you will be forever de-pressurising the entire system.

Otherwise yes and count the number of turns it takes to close the lockshield valve so you know how far to open it afterwards to keep the system balanced.
