Hi Guys

I have got my skirting boards back on the wall and I am about to fill in the gaps between the skirting and wall.

Is decorators caulk suitable for this? Are there different types and which is best to use?

Also should I gloss over the caulk once its all done? I am concerned that when the gloss yellows there would be a big line of white caulk.

Thanks!!

If the skirting has knots showing dab these with Knotting solution. Prime the skirtings, then fill the edge between wall and skirting with the caulking. Undercoat again, then final coat of gloss or satin finish.
These types of gaps are what caulk was designed for. MAke sure you paint over it up to the wall edge. It shouldnt leave any difference in colour if the skirting starts to fade.
