Hi, I am in the process of redecorating hall and stairs. The ceilings are sound but in a poor condition for painting over. I am thinking of boarding over, taping joints skimming just the joint and then painting ceilings. I would disguise the edges by putting up coving. What I am most concerned about is the extenal edges where hallway ceiling meets the vertical wall and sloping part of the stairwell. Can anyone advise on how to best tackle this. Thanks.
