Recessing a light pull switch into plaster coving

I'm not sure partially setting them into the decorative coving as I suggest is really recessing as such, they're still surface mounted with respect to the ceiling itself.

Every installation is supposed to be periodically inspected and tested as prescribed by BS7671.
 
Just move the thing forward six inches and the door wunt hit it dunt need to ammer ought then or cut you coving
