Is there a brand designed a bit longer / deeper than normal so I can cut the existing leaking microbore connection under the crushed olive and fit another valve that will seal even with no movement in the pipe?

Nope, not really, they're usually pretty standard sized valves from the insert depth to the centre of the horizontal, is it plastic or copper?

have you tried pulling the pipe up? you can usually pull some extra pipe through the floor on 8mm especially if it's downstairs.

if not you're going to have to cut it lower down and join a bit

if you’re going to drain it to cut the olive off then solder a micro bore x 15mm reducer on and just fit a standard rad valve

All a bit more work than I fancy, just want to bung it and hacksaw under the old olive and replace with an 8mm valve rather than adaptor.
