Will be replacing the floor in 3 bedrooms upstairs, originally I wanted to use QuickStep laminate as Ive used it before, and loved the definite 'click' when it locked together. Got a few samples of engineered wood from an online seller and love the stuff.

Thought I'd ask you on here and see if theres a 'market leader' or favourite brand/make you guys use?

And can you recommend me an underlay to use, to go over wooden floorboard under the engineered wood? Was looking at the Novostrat Sonic Gold?

Thanks in advance

Kahrs flooring, I'd say quality wise it's comparable to quickstep, goes down really smoothly and they supply there own brand underlay

Thanks guys. And is there a preferred finish? I've read about lacquered and another type of finish, what's better?
Thanks again

Lacquered or oiled, I'd say oiled looks slightly better, and more natural, but needs more maintenance, ie re-oiled every 1-2 years, that considered I'd always go lacquered as requires no maintenance and is harder wearing (I've got dogs) my preference is a satin lacquer rather than gloss but that's just preference
