Recommend sites showing effects of domestic lighting

As above, would be grateful for any sites that will help me choose the types of light ( both electrically and atmosphere ) best suited to all parts of the house, however as I am stylistically challenged, one with more piccies than text would be preferable

You two Google fans will (should ? ) know that this is a hugggggge net that drags in a vast amount when the search words are not very unusual. Search " how to select domestic lighting "
43 million hits, "style issues domestic lighting " 23 million.

In order to give you devotees a full report I looked through the first three pages of each. They were mostly regulatory documents, scientific works and some sales brochures based on the product and not really how to use it.

So, nothing at all on how to use different types of lighting in varying areas to achieve different results . O.K. now ?

That is what I expected and that is why I asked a forum of people who would have had more exposure to realated literature to help me as I expected this to bring a better result. Searches on Amazon for books have not yielded anything either.

So still hoping someone can give me some leads on sites they have noticed or used.

Can't advise you further.

I have no idea what rooms you have, or what you want to do in those rooms. A living room that is used for romantic evenings in requires completely different lighting to a living room that is used to strip down and rebuild motorcycles (people do, you know).

Suggest you jump in your 2CV and chug down to your local lighting shop.

Look around at stuff that takes your eye and you think will look nice in the chateau.

Go to the shop assistant, open your wallet and say

"prends tout mon argent"

As with any searching, you have to play around with search terms to get sensible/useful results from Mr Google. I tried "domestic lighting design" (WITH the quotation marks) and got just under 0.2 million hits. I looked at very few, but it looks as if a good few of the early ones might be of some interest to you. For example (although majoring on 'energy efficiency), you should find this one on the first place of the above search.

In general, I think you probably should major on 'design', and hence usually have that amongst your search terms. I would also suggest that you look on Amazon or somesuch, since I'd imagine that there are probably plenty of books about lighting design.
