Hi all first post, here goes.

In a timber frame house, would this method still count when a cable is run in the studded walls when there is a vapour barrier between the cable and plaster board and insulation (glass mineral wool) on the other side of cable, talking about the perimeter walls here as there is no need for the vapour barrier on internal walls.

What do you think?

Will the cables be touching the plasterboard?

Well the cable will be pressed up againt the plasterboard wall (via the insulation) but will have a thin polythene/polyethylene sheet between it and the plasterboard.
