Reform Policies

You said it’s a fee paying school now, trying to imply it was private when Starmer went there.

When he went to the school it was state
that was your imagination. It became a fee paying school while he was there.

Starmer passed the 11-plus examination and gained entry to Reigate Grammar School, which at the time was a voluntary-aided selective grammar school.[1][12] The school converted into an independent fee-paying school in 1976, while he was a student. The terms of the conversion were such that his parents were not required to pay for his schooling until he turned 16, and when he reached that point, the school, by now a charity, awarded him a bursary that allowed him to complete his education there without any parental contribution.
Exactly

So he didn’t have rich parents which sent him to private school.

Are you being deliberately dense?
I think we can see who is dense.
Let's talk about care home staff, road sweepers etc. Yes they can upskill and get new jobs at better money. But those jobs will still be there at the same lower wages.
So they upskill and get better paid jobs and pay more taxes. Then the employer of those lower paid jobs, has a choices, find someone else, pay more to attract someone else and/or make the job more productive.
Until people can afford to pay taxes then those that have more, have to pay more. It's what Britain is all about.
Said by the person who doesn't want to earn more to pay more.
I earn enough to make me happy. I don't need to earn more. But I don't take benefits etc, so I'm probably around average in the country. Lots of people like me make up a lot of tax money between us.
no they don't - if you earn about average in the country, you are only covering 50% of your cost to the state. Others are paying the rest. Time for you to step up and pay your way.

So he didn’t have rich parents that sent him to private school

Thank you for admitting you were wrong.
A Swerve7 special, you must be dizzy. Starmer went to a fee paying private school. Sorry you didn't know that. Better take the poster of him down from your bedroom wall.

There is NO alternative to Reform. None. Thats the real truth of the matter.

No, there's no truth in that whatsoever.

For many, Reform looks to be the only solution.....

That is true. For many, i.e. all the hard of looking people, Reform looks to be the only solution. Let's hope that by the time of the next election such people are in a small minority.

Perhaps you would both like to point to where Reform propose to fund this……

They don't need to fund it.

In fact, if they can close the NHS and publicly funded social care quicker than that they'll get the waiting lists down to zero in less than two years.

I want more people in work,

Doing what?

more people focusing on bettering their skills,

Getting more skilled at what?

more people paying taxes,

Which taxes?

more people wanting to invest in businesses in this country,

Investing in what?

creating more jobs

What sort of jobs?

and fewer wealthy people being tempted to leave.

I'd like to return to a time when more people were net contributors than net benefiters, it wasn't that long ago.

In which of those categories would you reduce the number of people claiming? And how?
