Reform Policies

Maybe we want different tracks?

I don't want more of what the Tories did.

I want a better society
I want more people in work, more people focusing on bettering their skills, more people paying taxes, more people wanting to invest in businesses in this country, creating more jobs and fewer wealthy people being tempted to leave.

I'd like to return to a time when more people were net contributors than net benefiters, it wasn't that long ago.

Ok.

Well the Tories didn't do it.

So why would reform?

We are in the middle of a reset from greed and benefits for a few to a society that's better for all

Is it perfect? No. But it's just the tough stuff being done.

You know as well as I do that come pre election time things will change.

I certainly couldn't predict that the Tories would throw away a massive majority that could have kept Labour out for another 15 years. Then just when you think its a Tory thing, Labour follow the exact same path, but on steroids.

Least popular government in record time, following a massive landslide. Who would have thought Labour could have made Sunak's government a safe, steady and sensible choice.

Investment in transport infrastructure (to make the economy more efficient).

The NHS (to get people back into work more quickly).

Schools and universities (many crumbling, and poor learning environments).

Back to free higher education (much potential lost through inability or unwillingness to saddle themselves with debt).

You old socialist, you (y)

I would prefer to get back to when we used to walk around with a smile instead of all doom and gloom. Every government is full of promises to get your vote and then neglect those policys once in power. Nigel will deliver a smile to the public and I cant wait.

Reform are so clueless they’ve managed to repaint school road signs…..around a school that closed in 2016

That is exactly the sort of petty establishment article that Sky and the beeb are peddling. They're really scraping hard to find things to bitch about Reform. Councils have done wacky things for ever, nothing is new.

We had a house that had been built on what was once school playing fields, nowhere near where the school was. But there was still a "school" road sign warning drivers about it. Fine you may think, except that it was a modern sign and the houses were built in 1920.

Reform are nothing like the modern tory party. The last tory government was just Labour-Lite.

Anyone who thinks the lost lot of tories were tough and unfair is going to be in for a shock in a few years when we get some proper cuts.

Bring it on, we need a massive reset and an end to this entitlement culture.

Socialism - getting others to pay more taxes so you can have what they worked for. (y)

It normally takes them a few years to run out of someone else's money. It's already happened with this lot, they can't or won't cut anything and lots of working/middle class people are going to find out that they are "the rich" who are in the firing line in a couple of weeks.

Doesn’t Reform want to cut minimum wage ?
Errr yes. As it's crippling business. The way things are going with this lot and the tories before there'll be one highly paid worker left, the rest will be on the dole, as nobody can afford to employ anyone.

Nobody's got wealthier as a result of the rises anyway - it's just inflated house rents, bills and everything else.

The one and only reason govts keep raising it is to increase income tax revenue. It's not about helping poor people.
