Ta duck. Foundations went down 2m, and that was after we took 0.5m off the whole site (140 tonne of spoil left the site). The shortest concrete peg was 1.7m and the tallest peg was a shade over 2m.
32m³ was poured into the trenches and 6m³ for the slab. It cost roughly £20k just to get it up to DPC.

So are you looking at 30k plus for a building like that?

How much is the total job? garage wise.
 
There was a lot of risk and expense in the base. I would have priced it a heck of a lot less had it been a standard dig.
Would the pile driven foundations have been any cheaper?
