Reform Policies

It's quite irrational, to pretend that "positive action" does anything other than create resentment. Instead of broadening the talent pool it does the reverse. A level playing field is created when all are welcome to apply and there is no language "particularly welcoming" people of from certain race, sex, etc.

In your opinion. Many employers disagree with you.
E.g. NHS, Councils and government departments, Armed Forces, Financial and large corporate organisations, Sports Industry and Hospitality.

You are right, it's definitely a public sector thing. Many have been reported and their policies ruled illegal. Only a small amount get as far as tribunal.

Its a good thing Reform are planning to update it, and go back to a merit based approach.

Anyone but Fartrage...

Londoners will vote tactically in large numbers to stop Nigel Farage becoming Prime Minister, according to new polling. The YouGov survey revealed the potential scale of tactical voting across the country and in the capital which could significantly shape the result of the next general election, expected in 2029.

In London, this lending of votes suggests Mr Farage’s party may struggle to win any seats, despite previous polling which did not take into account tactical voting pointing to Reform gaining eight. In a constituency which was a contest between Reform and the Conservatives, as could well be the case in parts of Outer London such as the Romford, Bexley and Bromley areas, 34% of Londoners would vote for Kemi Badenoch’s party, and 17% for Mr Farage’s, according to the YouGov findings.

Any examples of genuine Positive Action policies in the UK, that have been ruled illegal,
You've already mentioned the RAF one which was well intentioned but poorly executed and was ruled as Positive Discrimination. So not Positive Action.

Its a good thing Reform are planning to update it, and go back to a merit based approach.
Which they won't apply in their selection of candidates and shadow ministers.
And they have to win an election first.

I'm sure google or AI can help you get a summary of the cases that have been brought.

I maintain, that this section https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/15/part/11/chapter/2

Has no place in an inclusive world. I am glad Reform propose to fix it.

There will be very few roles where two candidates can be equally a good fit for a role. Positive action leads to discrimination, resentment and allegations of "tokenism".

You can't find any?

I'm glad that you eventually admit that you are explainiing your interpretation and hopes.

Nonsense. In recruitment one can only guess who will be "the best fit" for the role.
So it mainly comes down to qualification, training and experience.

Positive action leads to discrimination, resentment and allegations of "tokenism".
In your opinion, which is a right wing opinion.
And your feelings towards immigrants is well known.

What do you think about Reform's proposal to get rid of all the anti discrimination legislation passed since 1965.
