Hi,

I recently bought a set of 3 halogen puck lights from Homebase in the UK, that came with a transformer. I assume this would normally be connected directly to one of the house's electrical circuits, but ideally I'd like to put a cord and plug on it, and plug it into a wall socket. I'm just wondering if there's any reason not to do this?

It's a HUI BO LONG HTV60L1 transformer. Here are the details:
Pri: 220-240Vac 50/60Hz 0.25a, cos ϕ: 0.98
Sec: 11.5Vac 10-60W eff 5A

Thanks for taking the time to read, much appreciated :)

You can do that, no problem. Use a 3amp fuse in your plug.

PS, these are Extra Low Voltage lights, not Low Voltage.

Thanks for the info, thats good to know I'm not about to do anything wrong or dangerous :)
