Relocating Durgo Valve

In our en suite bathroom the soil stack has a durgo valve that terminates at just lower than the cistern height.

Whoever designed the house in their wisdom made the en suite so tight that the boxing in for the durgo / soil was basically flush against the side of the cistern - looked awful, and as the side of the boxing was open against the cistern and not a 100% flush fit was a bit of a cleaning nightmare!

We have demolished the old partition wall to make some more space, so were wondering if we could perhaps use some sort of T piece to extend the soil stack to the side away from the toilet a bit, and then upwards for the Durgo valve - would that work or does the Durgo have to be directly on top of the vertical soil stack run?

That would give the toilet more breathing space and mean I could just box in at low level around the toilet, and then where I have to go upwards for the Durgo, that wouldn't be touching the cistern any more.

I hope that makes sense, if not I can add a photo?!

Don't see a problem as long as it ideally ends up vertical in the end it's just a relief valve.

Thanks for that - yes the durgo itself will remain vertical just probably 18-24 inches away from the top of the soil stack to one side.
