remote CH programmer

Hi we have a worcester Green star 440 boiler (Instant hot water) the boiler is in the cellar and we are fitting a Salus Digital 2 Channel Programmer (MOdel EP200) designed for CH & Hot Water can I use it by just ignoring the hot water connections?. I asked Salus but they haven't replied as yet.
