Hi all,

We have been attempting to remove our flow shower cartridge (CP Hart shower valve) in order to fix a leak. Have been really struggling as it would budge with a hex spanner.

Could anybody please kindly suggest a correct puller for this or any other methods / tips to try to extract the cartridge?

Many thanks
Leo

I'd give the thing a good wire brush to remove as much scale as possible, then spray in some WD40 or similar.
Any chance you could borrow an impact wrench with a deep drive hexagonal socket, Leo?

Thanks Burnerman. Will definitely try. Do we know if this cartridge is supposed to be removal. Dont want to force my through and risk damaging it.

I’ve yet to find a cartridge that isn’t removable but the question is, can you find a replacement?
The showerdoc.co.uk is one of the best suppliers, and often a picture of it will show which part is threaded.
You may find the cartridge just needs an O ring to cure the leak but that can depend on how worn it is.
