I have to cut out a plastic soil pipe out of a concrete floor does anyone have an ingenious way that doesn't involve smashing my thumb 20180629_115529.jpg a bit late for that im afraid

what are you trying to do, reuse the floor opening or move the wc to a new location for instance?

stuff a rag right down the pipe then make a series of cuts vertical through the pipe wall then break out with a chisel

thanks for your replys I didn't make a good job of explaining what I want to do I need to remove 10cm of plastic pipe fill it with 5cm of fire stopping and 5cm of screed

Use an angle grinder to cut level with the floor - you'll have to leave the plastic in situ - first find where the drain goes to a manhole - block it that end too.
