Remove soil vent pipe? in garden

Hi,

I have just moved into a new house and there is a soil vent pipe in the middle of the garden? Do I need to take any precautions before I 'go for it' the only way I know how?!

Note that the house has a soil vent pipe.

That has been some height of a pan on that one

Dig a hole and remove it from the drain and cap the drain off with mortar.

It`s an air Inlet to an interceptor trap pull it out and give it to a scrappy
