Hi there
We moved into our new house a year ago and we’d like to remove the plastic ‘planks’ that run horizontally across the first floor on the front of the house. We want to do this because I’m pretty sure it’s causing massive condensation and damp in the two front bedrooms and also because we hate it. Ideally I’d like to get the whole front of the house rendered and painted white. But here’s the thing, we’re the second in a small terrace of 5 houses who all have the same cladding. The rest of the street is either Victorian terraces or flats built in the 90’s so it’s already a bit of a hodgepodge. None of the neighbours have any problem with us removing ours but I wonder if it will look too weird given that it will be so different to the rest of the houses. there’s weird good and there’s weird bad, so I’m just wondering if anyone out there has done it and what they think?
