Hi . Im having to take my shower tray up.
I have siliconed the threads when I put the trap together.
I used dow for this the clear stuff, now im trying to get it apart.

The top is tight when trying to remove with tool that came with the trap
I tried heating with hairdryer and hot water.

But broken half the removal tool

In short of breaking it is there anyway to get it appart.
I was going to get chemicals but cant get into thread's

Thanks for replying. Im lifting the tray for another reason but the waste is stuck.

To get to the under side of it I need lift bedroom floor.

Im in middle of a refurb. And thought if I attacked if from the top it would save time .

Would twisting from below not just move along with the top

Probably. You would need to stop it turning while you undo the trap but don't forget that the waste pipe will be holding it in place. Hopefully you have enough room to slide the waste pipe out of the compression.
