Removing Euro cylinder without key

Hi

I’m trying to remove a mortise lock with Euro cylinder from an old door, the key can’t be found.

From looking online, I tried jiggling lock hoping to turn the plastic thing inside around but no success. I then tried drilling out lock key mech but my drill and metal bit didn’t make much impression.

Any other ideas? Pics attached. Cheers.

Drill the lock not in the slot, but in the bottom bit. Use a centre-punch to first mark an impression with the drill bit. Start with a smaller driller bit and work up in size. There will be a lot of swarf stuck in the lock afterwards though so might also need replacing; but at least the door itself is still availlable

Will destroy the pins and springs then you should be able to turn with a flat screwdriver .

You can try drilling where foxhole has drawn but have a look under the cylinder to see if there's a tiny hardened pin or two in front of the tumblers, if is a BS lock then it will, your ordinary drill bit will stop dead when it hits those pins protecting the tumblers so you'll need a cobalt bit. Similarly you could just snap the lock off though again if it's a BS lock it could potentially be an anti snap, though if you find you've snapped the wrong side then just snap the other side and fish out all the bits
