I am thinking of removing my kitchen floor ceramic floor tiles and replacing with new ones.
How easy will they be to remove and what are they likley to leave behind?
They were layed on plywood using flexible adhesive.
If the adhesive is left behind what could I use to remove it?
Thanks for any help.

your best off using an sds drill, with a nice wide but, you can hire them out from your local hire company.

i personally would lift the ply too and start afresh, which means its a bit of a pain as its screwed down and you MAY damage underneath floor boards, but you wont have the worry of bits of adhesive stuckl all over as youll be getting rid of this on the plywood.

Google "big mutt". That's a cheap way to remove the tiles.
Google "heavy duty scraper". That's for removing the adhesive.

i dont rate the big mutt to be honest, exept for moving snow, it works great for that!
