I am about to purchase a Makita SDS Plus drill for general DIY use. I am happy with the spec (clutch, rotary stop, 750W, 2KGs).
My question relates to a specific job I need to do this weekend - removing some floor tiles set in cement. Will the above drill (fitted with a tile removing bit) be powerful enough or should I hire something more substantial?
Thank you.

Steve

A 750w Makita should handle that with no real problem. Any of the major trade quality drills are suitable i.e Makita , Bosch , DeWalt etc it is only when you buy the cheapo range from the large DIY outlets that you find out that they are not really up to much.
