Removing Horstmann Channelmaster H37

I assume all these models are similar so the answer to my query probably reflects all these controllers.
I am trying to remove the programmer from the backplate. I seems its simply a matter of undoing the two top retaining screws and hinging the unit from the top to remove.
I have used so much force doing this that the wall crews are coming out of the plaster but nothing else is budging. Can someone please help???

They attach via spade connectors, so you need to move the unit back & forth whilst lifting, to remove it.

Did one today, just 5 hours ago or so? Undo two screws and wiggle as the previous poster described. I didn't have to give it too much force and this one said "warranty expiry 1996" on the back so it was old!
