Hi

House has been repointed incorrectly in the past with strong cement mix, but should have been with lime, now need to rake it all out and do it correctly.

What are the best tools to use?

Thanks

Depending on how much you have to do?
screwfix has a mortar "rake" and a thin stone blade for a 112mm angle grinder. They are pretty cheap.

You'll probably do more damage messing around with it.

An Arbortech Mortar Saw is great for it but mighty expensive!

I got one used off ebay as I have a house built with engineering bricks and those that get damp and are exposed to frost, eg in garden walls and the chimney stack that had no proper capping, have spalled a lot so many bricks need replacing.

One web site that has them http://www.toolstop.co.uk/arbortech-m243 ... there are other websites!
