I would like to remove the original floorboards in my house as they are not in a great shape and incredibly wonky! I think (i may well be wrong!) that quite a few of the boards run underneath internal walls so my question is, is it ok to cut all of the floorboards up against a wall for easy removal or do floorboards also help spread the weight of the walls?

sorry what do you mean block built? they are all solid brick (or breeze block)
