Does anyone know if brick cleaning acid would remove remnents of emusion paint from bricks? I've steamed and wire brushed most of it off, followed by normal paint stripper and finally jet washed it. It's not far from being restored to normal, but just needs finishing off. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

i remember an old painter and decorator telling me one time that to clean bricks use vinegar as the there is acid in the vinegar and will soften any thing that is on the brick and then just wash it off hope this helps
