Can anyone help, we are looking in the future to totally revamp the kitchen which will involve a large amount of structural work etc. One thing we will want to do is to remove the chimney breast that is in the kitchen/diner. Is it possible to remove the chimney breast at this level without removing it all the way up the house, ie in the bedroom above etc.
The chimney is not used but just wondered if it can be removed on the ground floor and if so how is it them supported on the next floor.
