I have terracotta tiles on a concrete bed with chicken mesh through it, on lino type material, on the floorboards that I think are cypress. I want to remove all that from the floorboards so that I can polish them.
I read Tamsin Greg's method of using the chisel and hammer to break the tiles. He had a concrete sheeting on the floorboards. I'm concerned with bruising & chipping the floorboards when I lift them after breaking them up because they still stay fairly tied together with the chicken mesh in the concrete and only lino protecting the boards. Does anyone have ideas? How do those light jackhammers go with this sort of thing?
Thank you.
