I am in the process of re tiling the bathroom. The tiles were removed but the grouting/adhesive still remains on the the plasterboard walls.

Is there a way of removing it without damaging the wall? or should I just tile over?

Hi.

Just done the same thing myself, i had to reboard area's of the bathroom as removing the old adhesive left the walls in a real mess. It is best to reboard where you can and it makes tiling easier. Although alot came off really easy by just using a 5" sharp scaper blade and then sanded the walls down to get and almost even surface, which i have tiled on. Took alot of graft but we all know that elbow grease is for free!!!!!!!!
