Removing Toilet Seat Metal Fixing Pins

Hi all,

I have purchased a new toilet seat and want to remove the old one. Do you have any idea how I can remove these metal pins left over from the old seat please?

p.s. The toilet does not have access to the underneath, so I don't think that is an option.

Pry off chrome caps at the base. Tried that?

Also looks like a flat surface to take a spanner at the bottom of post. Maybe how thats tightened so try that

Thank you. I'll get myself some better tools and give it another try.

There were no signs of budging when I tried before so I wasn't sure if that's how it even comes off (both methods).
