When we had some windows replaced last year, the fitters installed some UPVC trim around the inner window to cover over gaps between the reveals and the windows and the cill and the windows. I now want to rework the reveals and cills to get rid of the ugly trim but upon removing it, it seems to be partially stuck to the UPVC window. I can try to cut it off with a knife but it looks like it will score the UPVC. Any tips on how to clean up what's stick onto the UPVC?

Many thanks.
