renault extra heater

hi have just got a renault extra van diesel.The only problem i have with it is the heater does not get warm at all.The fan blows when you switch it on. I have felt the two pipes which lead in to the van from the engine bay and they are warm.Could the matrix be blocked if so any ideas. thanks peter

does it blow any warm air at all or is it stone cold?

no blows cold even if you change between screen ,feet and side vents thanks

If both pipes of the heater matrix are warm, it would suggest one of the flaps in the heater box is jammed or one of the cables snapped/fell off.

Pipes should be quite hot, not just warm.

yeah could be dodgy controls,thermostat sticking,or gummed up matrix,how does the temperature gauge look when the car is warmed up?
