Render on porch - Aquapanel?

Hi,

I’m interested in the best way to render over the porch I’ve built.

I’d like to add a curved feature to the porch canopy. It looks like this:

I want it to look like this:

I was thinking of using Knauf Exterior Aquapanel on the porch canopy (over the timber) and underside and then using K-rend on it. Am I right in thinking there has to be an air gap between the timber and the Aquapanel?

Great video thanks! I think his whole series is amazing. I did watch that one last year before I started building mine and it was a great help.

I was wondering if anyone had any top tips for using the Aquapanel. I contacted the manufacturer and they said to screw it to battens as an air gap is required. So I’ll do that. I suppose I’ll just give it a go. Then render over with K rend.
