Hi guys, we recently had a new Lintel installed and bifolds fitted on a rendered wall.
We believe the finish, particularly the edge could have been neater. The renderer says that due to the space that is available, a corner bead was not possible. Some of the edging is ok, but some is quite scruffy. I would be interested to hear what you think.
It's not easy to get a good overall picture, which is probably why the rendering guy reckons it's good enough.
Many thanks

not really good enough. in fact rough in places. theres plenty of room for plastic angles and it’s not been scratched back .
notoriously difficult to blend that stuff in but could be much neater. in fact looks amateurish. got a feeling the more you’ll show us the worse it’ll look.

Most professionals would have fixed a Bellcast above the opening head.
If you have a cavity wall then what type of lintel was used?
If you do have a cavity wall theres no signs of weep holes from a cavity tray?
Below the lintel you can see DPC material or maybe ties of some kind?

The Lintel is an open back cavity wall Lintel, and yes we have cavity walls, it's a 6 year old house.
Yes it does look like dpc at the top.
I'm asking the company, someone other than the guy who did it, to come back have have a look.
The guy who did the render said there wasn't enough room for a bead to be installed but I think there is.

Hi, just an update if people are interested. We found a registered Rendex installer nearby to help us out and we are very pleased with the outcome. We had a raised band put around the doors to tidy up
